• Digitas, Inc. -  Stamford, CT

• Built http://www.delta.com/ecard_2011/, an electronic holiday card that was emailed to Delta Airlines' SkyMiles customers (~15 million people).  Site is a continuous page, and features javascript coding to produce a parallax effect as you scroll through the page. Jsp coding was used to serve different sites for mobile/touch devices, IE6 users, and everyone else (desktop users) (jQuery, HTML, CSS, JSP)
• Architected and built http://focusontheclimb.com, a contest website for Delta Airlines employees to upload photos to be judged to win a free first-class ticket.  Site was built to handle huge loads- 5 front-end webheads behind a load-balancer, one photo-processing server, one database server.  Back-end Administration interface allows judges to approve/reject entries. I built database, middle-ware, and implemented off-shore development of front-end static pages.  I also administered and setup the Rackspace Cloud Servers, installing software and configuring Nginx httpd server, as well as the LAMP stack. • Built http://www.samsung.com/us/microsite/galaxysII/, a website for a new product that utilizes cutting-edge javascript techniques to animate graphics on the page as the user scrolls.  (jQuery, CSS, HTML)

• Architected and developed Post Honey Bunches of Oats website (http://honeybunchesofoats.com) using ASP.NET MVC2. A Facebook application that I built collects the data that drives the content on the home page. The wall of pictures are the users' live Facebook profile pictures. • Built a Facebook page application for a major client that integrated Google maps API (php, jquery, Google Maps api v3, Facebook JavaScript API)
• Architected and built www.postnatural.com, an ASP.NET MVC website with a MS SQL Server back-end database.  The site makes heavy use of AJAX, jQuery JavaScript library and several plugins, and CSS sprites.  In the latest release, we added a user-entry form that even uses a custom C# CAPTCHA. • Built a database-driven PHP website using Zend Framework that featured secure user login, ajax form posting, jQuery javascript integration, and a MySQL database for content, as well as user tracking. • Connecticut Chinese Culture Association (CCCA)- Webmaster for www.ctchinese.org website.  I'm responsible for all coding for this website that displays event pictures, advertisements, general information, and registration for email list and special events.

• BMC, Inc- Developed a profit & loss analysis tool for an investment management company.  The application matches stock trade transactions by applying a “first-in, first-out†match methodology to ascertain current position's cost basis.  Gains and losses are then calculated and the application creates Excel spreadsheets highlighting short-term and long-term capital gains.  (MS Access 2000, MS Excel, SQL, Visual Basic, VBA)

• MBI, Inc. - One of a two-person team building an internal, database-driven website to manage product marketing, sales, and distribution for a large direct marketing company.  Integrating 20 different DB2 tables, the website uses Lotus Notes/Domino as the middleware between the client browser and the AS/400 (DB2) back-end database.  I also assisted in server administration, trouble-shooting security, session-based authentication, and http configuration issues. • Built an application used to coordinate scheduling of events related to computer infrastructure and production-system related like scheduled down-time, upgrades, application bug fixes, emergency repair, etc. Communicating via email, the system would inform various departmental representatives if the system determined that they would be affected.  Affected department representatives could veto the request and propose alternate times and dates, all within the application. (Lotus Notes/Domino v5.x, LotusScript, Visual Basic)
• Assisted in the setup of the Lotus Notes/Domino server environment, instituting clustering (4 mail servers were clustered, as were 2 application servers on a server network different from the user network), security (ACL, access group management, SSL), mail routing (via SendMail gateway).  I also assisted in trouble-shooting via digging through the log files and researching problems. • • Customized and implemented OverQuotaâ„¢, a Lotus Notes-based (R 4.5) Sales Force Automation (CRM) system of 13 inter-related databases used by 300+ remote, laptop users.  I was heavily involved in the design, applying the company's sales methodology to the “sales pipeline†forecasting module. Responsibilities also included rollout, training, support, enhancements and coordinating vendor-template upgrades. (Lotus Notes/Domino, LotusScript, Visual Basic, FileMaker Pro, Microsoft Access)
  • Designed/developed Lotus Notes application for 300 national sales reps to manage 23,000+ customers and prospects, performed market share forecasting, and facilitated the mailing and tracking of 100,000+ new product catalogs. System integrated with back-end Informix database using Notrix Composer. (Lotus Notes Client, Informix, Notrix Composer, MS Access, Brio Query)
  • Designed FileMaker Pro database application used by sales reps for sales forecasting and “pipeline managementâ€.  Sales reps would export data, append to email to the home office who would import the information so the VP of sales could see an overall picture of the market.  Database would become the prototype of future Sales Force Automation system.
